IELTS is the most common and worldwide acceptable language proficiency test for pursuing higher education and global migration. Its full form is ‘The International English Language Testing System’.

After submitting the application you need to pay fee i.e. Rs. 21500 before 5 days of the exam date. And mail your payment slip to payment@britishcouncil.org.
You can postpone or cancel your application in a few terms. If you do that before 5 weeks of the exam date, you will get full refund after ducting administration charge. If you do that within 5 weeks of the test date because of medical reason you will get a refund deducting local administration charge. Otherwise you will not get a refund. If you get delayed by circumstances beyond your control (e.g. a transport strike) the test center may offer you a test on the next available test date.
If you inform within 5 days of the test date, you will refund the local administration charge otherwise you will lose your money.

In the test room you can bring only a pen, pencil and eraser. Also you need to bring your passport. Mobile phones, papers, watches are not allowed inside the exam hall. Mobile phones should be switched off otherwise you will get disqualified.

Yes it provides you instruction in the first 3 sections it gives instructions and pauses once in the middle. But in the last section the full section gets completed at once. At the beginning, you hear instructions then you read section 1 questions, listen to section 1 and answer the questions.
No, there will not be any extra time to transfer your answers as like listening test. Reading test carries one hour and within that period you need to write all your answers.

Your Test Report Form will be posted to you 13 days after your test date. Some test centers also provide SMS alerts and an Online Results Service. Keep your Test Report Form in a secure place as you only receive one copy.
The test report is valid for the period of 2 years.
You will be given the original one. But copies cannot be sent to test takers but IELTS will forward a Test Report Form to your relevant institution or embassy. Up to five copies will be sent free of charge and for additional copies you need to pay some administrative charge.
There is no limit on sitting the test but it is preferable to practice more before appearing for the second test.
If you think that there is error in the marks of the IELTS, you can apply for rechecking within 6 weeks of your test date. You need to pay charge for each section you like to request for rechecking. After 2-21 days you will get the result. If you mark an increase your payment will get refunded.
If such happens the test center may offer you a test on the next available test date.
